GO'IN TO TEXAS!!!

Hello Family and Friends,

Sorry it's been so long since I have updated our blogspot! In August, Chris found out that he was going to be transferred back to Dallas, TX. The information came to us as a big surprise but we were so excited to move back. We pretty much had three weeks to pack up everything, find a house, and move. Chris left on that Monday night to Dallas and by the end of Tuesday night had found a house. Of course, I was a little nervous since I didn't get to actually see where we were moving to. Next, I gave two week notice at Goodrich and was shocked to hear them ask me to telecommute until October. A lot of crazy things happened between us leaving Phoenix and finally arriving in Dallas, Texas. Once we arrived, my grandma greeted Kenzie, Hailey, Au Pair Laura and myself at our new home in Allen. Chris did an excellent job of picking out a great house and a terrific neighborhood!!!!!!!!!! Next, we began to unpack and grandma and I took Kenzie out to look for a new school. After a couple hours of searching we found a 4 day program from 9am to 2pm in a Baptist church called Cottonwood Creek. The kids school is called Kids Care. Kenzie was a little nervous starting a new school but within a a couple days adjusted great to new teachers, friends, and lack of no nap (that was the hardest part). Our next search was to find a new gymnastics gym for both her and Hailey. This took a couple weeks but we finally found the perfect fit for both girls at Eagle Wings which is 10 minutes form the house. Anything great thing about our home is that it's close to all the stores and shopping centers including a new event center and premium outlet mall (thank you honey:))

Aside from these other details, another important task was to find Hailey all her doctor's and theraptists. We have located some new doctors and she was evaluated at the Children's house in Allen for speech, feeding and occupational therapy. Hailey goes once a week for occupational therapy and twice a week for feeding and speech.

Well, its hard to believe that we are into November with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner!!

Another post will follow shortly!!

Happy Fall!

Kenzie's first day of Pre-K

Today, Kenzie began her first day of school at Heritage Christian Academy. This is her second year at the school. This year Kenzie is going five days a week for three hours each day. She was nervous this morning but was so excited to tell us all about her new friends and Mrs. Donna.

Kenzie's First Spa Pedicure

Kenzie asked to get her toes done for the first day of Pre-K. So, I took her to get her toes painted at a San Tan Village. She was so excited to have her feet touch the bubbling water! She held my hand when they cut her cuticles. She taught it was the coolest thing to have her legs massaged:)
It was fun to have some mommy daughter time together!!!!

Hailey Update July 15th

Hailey went to the GI/Nutritionist this past week. She is 22 lbs 2 oz. The positive news is she's portioned for her height and weight. However, she didn't gain a ounce this past month. We are increasing her calorie per oz instead of volume and the past couple days have been good. She attends weekly feeding therapy appointments which are going well. She is alittle more open to foods but still doesn't eat much. She ate one chicken nugget that I made at home for dinner on Friday night...ate least she tried it! She is signing a lot of words now. She knows please, thank you, more, all done, up, and is learning the sign, help.

Two weeks ago, she was evaluated for occupational therapy and will begin as soon as a spot is available. This week is the second part of her speech evaluation. She definately needs this also but again we will wait for an opening.

Overall, she is a funny, sweet, strong little girl who seems to amaze us daily. She is our monkey...can't take your eyes off her because she never know where you will find her. She thinks its funny to stand up on her pink quad and push the go button. I will find a picture and post it.

Laura´s Farewell Dinner at Benihana

After a eventful year, we escaped from the children and enjoy a funfilled dinner together. This last year has been quite a challenge for Laura and our family. This was a nice way to end the year on a fun note!
